“The importance of the 2020 census for our state cannot be over emphasized. It is of vital importance to New Mexicans that we do everything we can to ensure that all our residents are counted in the upcoming census so that we can maximize the amount of federal dollars coming to our state. County government will play a critical role in outreach and in ensuring that we reach all our residents in hard to count areas. We are hopeful that every county will establish a complete count committee and will work collaboratively with tribal governments and municipalities to make the 2020 census a big success for our state.”
