“The 2020 Census will be used to decide how much federal funding New Mexico gets over the next ten years for important services that our families rely upon – services like health care, education, and school lunches. If even a tiny share of New Mexicans don’t fill out their census forms, it could cost us millions of dollars. The Census is also important for democracy because it is used to decide how many elected officials will represent us on our city councils, county commissions and at our state and nation’s capitals. Filling out the census form is an important civic duty. And if you’re filling out the form for your whole household, don’t forget to include all family members – even babies and young children.”
